This high grade phenolic thermal spacer is used to create a thermal barrier between the cylinder head and after market intake manifolds and charge coolers, this spacer in essence slows down the conductive heat transfer between the 2 surfaces to further combat manifold heat soak. This spacer is a must for upgraded charge coolers.
